To do this, simply run:</div><pre class="linux-code"><code>sudo mediterranean-config</code></pre><div style="text-align: justify;">Then select the theme you want to customize, and when you reach the "Select style for Nautilus" step, select "3" which is "Nautilus 3.4 with light sidebar and pathbar" and even though the description says it's for Nautilus 3.4 it should work with Nautilus 3.6. How To Customize GDM 3.6+ Login / Lock Screen (Change Theme, Wallpaper)

The image used by default is located under <b><i>/usr/share/gnome-shell/theme/</i></b> and is called <b>noise-texture.png</b>.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Like its name says, the grey image used by GDM 3.6 is a pattern, but you don't have to use a pattern and a regular wallpaper image works too. Customize GTK3 / GTK2 Theme Colors Using `GTK Theme Preferences`

Well, that's not the case anymore thanks to GTK Theme Preferences.
